Where was this?
Gutsy taking an old Alfa out in the damp. Fintail slumbers on days like this.

Madrona Beach. Good turnout—pretty cool little gathering.

There’s only one Mustang here and he hasn’t tried to leave yet.
UPDATE: he left. Everybody survived.

I’ll have to see if there’s any online presence for that. Hard to find a somewhat local gathering that is more ‘run what ya brung’ than a show-off venue with bouncers.

Yeah, huge variety and definitely no bouncers. @ lakewashingtoncarsandcoffee on Instagram. I think some Avants members put it together.

Cool thanks, I’ll have to keep an eye on that and take the old car out someday.

Oh shit. I should go out there some time. The only one i’ve been to in the seattle area was the Redmond one, which is pretty gigantic and not very personal
.

I think I came across one of their events there last summer after a run.

I go to the Redmond one a few times a year and usually enjoy it, but this is much better if you’re looking for an every-weekend, more friendly and down-to-earth situation. I had more in-depth conversations about my car and others in one day than in probably 10 visits to ERTC, and there’s (obviously) a lot more grassroots car enthusiasm on display when there’s no gate keeping.
Put it this way: my C63 AMG 507 will get into ERTC and 2 rich teens will take a picture with it while their dad asks me how much I‘d sell it for, but my old wagon will generate a hundred pictures and thoughtful questions from knowledgeable enthusiasts ( for example, a guy who used to own a similar Japan-market S124 wagon wanted to see if the stickers on the engine and fuel cap were the same as he remembered ) at this meet. Even my 4Runner would be appreciated for what it is.
